The unprecedented flooding hit some of Goshen’s parks and trails significantly. Here is an update of park locations and trails impacted by flooding:
Goshen Parks and Recreation Office: Our office at 607 W. Plymouth Avenue has been relocated to the lower level of City Hall, 202 S. 5th Street. Customers may visit Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, or we can be reached by calling 574-534-2901.
- Fidler Pond Park (and walking/biking trail): Remains closed.
- Shanklin Park: Remains closed.
- Rogers Park: Remains closed.
Abshire Park Trail: Remains closed. This trail connects the Pumpkinvine (near Abshire Park) to Monroe Street.
*Note: The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is open through Goshen City’s portion – N. 5th Street to CR 28. Some areas of the Pumpkinvine Trail has some standing water but it is passable.
Please regard closure signs and barricades to avoid unsafe areas. Park staff is working diligently to repair and restore affected areas, thank you for your understanding and patience.
