RAILROAD CROSSING CLOSURE: MAIN STREET

Norfolk Southern will close the railroad crossing at Main Street, north of downtown, to make repairs on the tracks. The closure will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 4 and will extend through Friday, Oct. 7.

BRIDGE CLOSURE: INDIANA AVENUE

The Indiana Bridge over the Elkhart River will be closed Tuesday, September 20, 2022 to all the Elkhart County highway to inspect it. The inspection will require a lift which will require closing the bridge and is expected to be completed in one day. Traffic will be diverted at Chicago Avenue and River Avenue.

ROAD CLOSURES: JOHNSTON STREET

Johnston Street will be closed just west of Woodbridge Ct, from September 19 to September 23, to install a new sewer tap for the Green Oaks Assisted Living site development. ROAD CLOSURE: WILDEN AVENUE

Wilden Avenue will be closed between Main Street (SR 15) to and including the intersection with 5th Street from Wednesday, Sept. 14, through November 11, to allow for work associated with the Wilden Avenue Reconstruction Project. The detour route is Main Street to Oakridge Avenue to 6th Street.

ROAD CLOSURE: COLLEGE AVENUE

College Avenue will be closed east of Century Drive from Wednesday, September 14 through December 30 to allow for work associated with the site development and infrastructure improvements along east College Avenue. The detour route is Lincolnway East (US 33), to Kercher Road (CR 38), to CR 33.
