JEFFERSON STREET RAILROAD CROSSING TO REMAIN OPEN

It was determined at today’s Board of Public Works & Safety meeting that the Jefferson Street railroad crossing will NOT be closing. It will remain open to traffic and proper warning lights and safety arms will be installed later this year.

The City of Goshen has been in discussions with Norfolk Southern Railroad and the Federal Railroad Administration about the implementation of a quiet zone along Norfolk Southern’s Marion Branch rail line from CR 40 north to Lincoln Avenue.
