Goshen Utilities will start the fall hydrant flushing program on Tuesday October 10th through Friday the 13th (weather permitting).
From Tuesday Oct. 10, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 11, we will start flushing between 10th Street and the city limits east and between the Norfolk/Southern tracks to the city limits south.
From Wednesday Oct. 11, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday Oct. 12, we will be flushing between Pike Street (U.S. 33) and the city limits south and between the Elkhart River and Ninth street.
From Thursday Oct. 12 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday Oct. 13, we will be flushing between Elkhart Road (U.S. 33) to the city limits south and between the Elkhart River to the city limits west including Weaver Woods and Harrison Ridge subdivisions as well as Bashor Children’s Home which are out of city limits.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 10, Wednesday Oct. 11, and Thursday Oct. 12, we will be flushing everything north of Norfolk Southern tracks and north of Pike Street from the city limits east to west.
We ask that you avoid doing laundry on the day we are close to your home, due to the rust that we are removing from the water mains. If you do have a problem with your laundry, please call us and we will have some special soap for you.
