Homelessness: Resources

The following are local and national resources for those in need of shelter or a home:

Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network: A flexible, cooperative ministry providing an opportunity for our community to be actively involved in caring for the needs of homeless families.

Bashor Children’s Home Shelter: A  secure temporary or emergency home for teenagers in Elkhart County

Oaklawn: Oaklawn provides mental health and addiction treatment for children, adolescents and adults in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Specialized services range from skills training and case management to outpatient therapy and inpatient care.

The Window: Providing services to meet the essential needs of anyone with limited income

Faith Mission Elkhart:  faith-based programs and services that minister to the homeless and other individuals so they may have positive life-changing opportunities.

Elkhart County Women’s Shelter: The Elkhart County Women’s Shelter (ECWS) is the only domestic violence shelter in Elkhart County.  One of the largest programs of iFiT, the ECWS serves nearly 400 women and children annually.  The 40 bed shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to provide crisis intervention and safe shelter for victims of domestic abuse.
