ROAD UPDATE: 8:30 A.M. FRIDAY, FEB. 23, 2018

The Street Department has determined Berkey, Indiana and Huron Avenues can be reopened, but must be cleaned this morning. They will be opened to traffic promptly after. At Pike Street (US 33), high water signs have been removed and the road is now open to traffic.

CITY OFFICES TO REOPEN FEB. 23

All City offices will be open at regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018. We thank all residents for their patience while offices were closed.

TRASH COLLECTION RESUMES FRIDAY

Due to the travel restrictions resulting from this week’s record flooding, Borden WasteAway was restricted from collecting the last half of Wednesday trash collection route and all of Thursday’s collection route.   As non-essential travel restrictions have been lifted Borden WasteAway will resume their regular routes on Friday 23, as scheduled.   Those whose trash […]

The following roads are still closed to traffic: Indiana Avenue between Lincoln and Plymouth Avenues. Denver Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Pike Street (US 33). Huron Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Pike Street. Chicago Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Pike Street. Berkey Avenue is closed from Dewey to Indiana Avenues.

STATE OF EMERGENCY REMAINS IN PLACE

We are still currently under a state of emergency, with restricted travel for only essential needs (like work, getting groceries, etc). There is no set time of when it will be lifted. We are assessing the roads, and as they start to clear off, more information will become available.
